GINGER

I painted this as a last minute thing.  I'm working on another painting (you can see the corner of it behind this one in the picture) for another friend of mine and my family. 

I wanted to paint something for my super awesome boyfriend and I found a picture I took of his dog so I thought I'd try my hand at it.  The painting started off really light and in a dusty rose tone, but then I told my mom that I should just go all out and try and be really detailed and have a lot of paint on my pallet.

Well, it turned out awesome.  If I do say so myself.  I surprise myself...a lot.

Thank you lord for the gift you have given me.  I'm glad I've taken the time to use it this summer.

Oh, I signed it with a heart instead of "Eeh" because I'm Brandt's love and I wanted to sign it specially because I painted it with love.

I made this in my sculpture class.

It's an organic shape.  That's what our problem was.

THE PEOPLE WANT ABSTRACT

Well folks, no idea why this picture didn't want to upload correctly horizontal but if you turn your screen to the left or turn your head to the right you'll see this abstract painting done by me quite well enough. 

This is for my friend Shugs!  Short for Melissa!  She commissioned for it.  Though I said I would sketch up stuff and see what she might like best I jumped into it instead and finished it without any input.  Hoping she'll like it I'll tell her that it's ready for a preview before she can hold it in her hands.
